A superb quality antique silver salver or charger in the highly decorative rococo style. Made during the reign of George IV, this large silver salver has a cast openwork border finely detailed with both chinoiserie decorations and bacchanalian characters. <\/p>\n

The surface is expertly hand chased and hand engraved with sections of lattice, floral work and scrolling foliage that surround the marital arms commemorating the marriage of Colonel The Honourable Frederick Cathcart and Jane McAdam.<\/p>\n
