This technique created the characteristic bentwood chairs that were widespread in Vienna&#8217;s caf&#233;s and restaurants around 1890. In the 1930s they produced innovative designs by avant-garde architects such as Marcel Breuer, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Le Corbusier.<\/p>\n<p>Design<br \/>\nThis set of six dining room chairs were produced in the 1980s and strongly shows traits of the designs by the Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh. This concerns two chairs with armrests and four without. The frames are made of black lacquered wood and assembled to a high quality.
