Vintage Design
This coffee table hailing from the sixties shows a pleasant combination of two different styles. The base can be described as downright classic, almost a kind of column, while the wooden panels create a more modernist shape. Given this notion it reminds us of the style of Claudio Salocchi. The combination may not be obvious, but it is absolutely successful. Deep dark colored beech wood gives this object an elegance and in addition, the visible wood joints on the corners betray the happy notion of craftsmanship. Classical and modern meet here quite abruptly. The coffee table has an additional function because it can also be opened. When shoving away the chic light tinted green top a Formica veneered compartment is revealed.
The condition is good with diffuse small scratches and color differences on the wooden parts.
