A rare English wooden cribbage game board with a view of Bristol dating from the reign of George IV, 1820 to 1830. The triangular shaped board is mounted on a box shaped base with an original simple sliding cover the compartment containing six original gaming pins painted in blue, white and red. The board is decorated with a central shoreline scene of Bristol and its bridge set within a black border inside a floral painted surround with the pierced gaming holes around the outer edge.
Provenance: from an important private collection of game related items amassed over many decades.
The board is offered in good original condition with wear associated with age and use.
