Vintage Design
Napoleon III linen chest quilted in solid Mahogany and Mahogany burl veneer.
It opens with a lid of animated shapes and quilted on the top, equipped inside with a compass to maintain its hold. The chest was later covered with a yellow fabric with small checks decorated with a motif of simplified flowers and bordered with nails.
The interior is lined with zinc plates in good condition.
The paneled rear is in stained pitch pine and it rests on moving plinths.
Period: Second half of the 19th century
Frame in perfect condition after restoration, stripping and waxed patina in our workshop.
Fabric with very slight stains, as is.
Width 67 cm – Depth 39 cm – Height 76 cm.
