A George III mahogany folding card table, circa 1760, the moulded top opening to a baize lined interior, the blind fretwork decorated frieze above square section legs surmounted by pierced brackets and on plinth feet, hinges stamped H Tibats.
The marking is possibly referring to Hugh Tibbats or Tibats (both spellings are attributed in documentation) whose studio was based in Wolverhampton, outside of Birmingham.
