Each oval shaped top decorated with a central mythological painted scene surround with faux marbleized surface.
On four tapering shaped legs ending with a scrolled foot decorated with cream paint and gilded surface.
Decoration possibly of a later date.
Measure: Height 28 ½ in. Width 23 in. Depth 16 in.
Angelica Kauffmann (1741-1807), a Swiss-born painter who was a decorative artist for Adam Brothers, English furniture manufacturers, between 1766 and 1781. Kauffmann was a child prodigy who made her first commissioned piece before 13. She designed small-scale pictorial subjects in the neoclassic manner and painted portraits as well as historical and classical pictures
