A superb earthenware bowl from Art Deco vintage, made in France by the Emaux art pottery workshop in Longwy and dating from the 1920-30s. This earthenware bowl is decorated by hand with Chinese patterns and enameled glaze of partitioned style. The decor consists of multicolored flowers with green leaves and blue stems on a bright blue background. The underside is pale turquoise blue with the characteristic crack of Longwy; The upper edge is a contrasting dark cobalt blue. The underside is entirely marked with several figures printed by hand above the printed brand of Longwy, with details on the creation process decorated by hand, Emaux Longwy around the pattern and France below.
