Made after the Boeing 314 Clipper, manufactured by Boeing from 1938 to 1941, stood as an expansive American long-range flying boat during its era. Ranking among the largest aircraft of its time, it possessed the capability to traverse both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Boeing employed the wing design from the prior XB-15 bomber prototype for this remarkable aircraft.
A total of twelve Clippers were constructed, with nine of them being in service with Pan American Airways.
