A fine and rare Cumberland action dining table on four saber legs, each of which solid brass swivels. Gate legs pull out to support the drop leaf extensions. Cumberland action tables are rare and few come up in the market. the gate legs pivot at the stretcher to support the leaves. In addition this table has very fine selected mahogany.

Condition: Please see detail photos. There are various acceptable signs of age including some age-related nicks to the edges and some scratches to the top. The central table panel is somewhat lighter in tone than the drop-leaves due to sunning however it does not detract from the imposing and historical presentation of the table.
