Scottish Georgian mahogany octagonal cellarette on original base. The tapered molded edge legs have an elegant curve to them as they sweep to the brass casters. The hinged top opens to reveal the remnants of the original lead liner. If one wants to use this as a wine cooler, we would suggest having an additional liner that is water proof. This handsome cellarette works well as an end table next to a sofa, or as a table between two chairs, or in its original place which would have been in a dining room next to a dining table or in conjunction with a sideboard. Circa 1800.
